I am the Illustrious King of Space (also known as Tom the Insignificant, The TomFace, That Driveling Idiot, etc. I'm known by many names.) I try to write and draw funny things between the periods of crippling self-doubt and questioning. Strange thing, people laugh when I write about that, too. The world is full of terrible people.

I live the farthest you can get from civilized society while still residing in CA, i.e., Gold Country. People here still dress in miner's outfits and think it's quaint. I've had people ask me what the internet was on some of my stranger days. I only have a computer right now because I won a used laptop at my sober grad party, five years ago.

This month I'm in between a job at a non-profit and a winter snow resort which is waiting for the next big snow storm to hit to open, and therefore have just enough money for rent, bills, and exactly nothing else. I survive by saving my fingernail clippings for the rainy days (good source of keratin.)

On the occasion I break down, have naked, intoxicated midnight blood-ritual ceremonies, and art comes out. The next day I feel accomplished and slightly woozy, and people nod appreciatively at my work and then go on to look at pictures of funny cats.
